Originally recorded by the British pop duo Eurythmics for their second album, 1983's Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This), the title song was written by David A. Stewart and Annie Lennox (who also performed the vocals). This version was performed by Emily Browning (Babydoll). The song plays at the very beginning of the movie, when Babydoll is introduced, bridging the time between Babydoll's mother dying and Babydoll being brought to Lennox House. The song is also called Intro/Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) on the movie's score.
The same arrangement of this song was covered by Marilyn Manson for his second album, Smells Like Children, and his version appeared in the 2009 film Gamer as well as the 1999 remake of House on Haunted Hill.
"Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" is the first song on both the Sucker Punch soundtrack and the score, followed by "Army of Me" on the soundtrack, and "Lennox House For The Mentally Insane" on the score.

Sweet Dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree?
Travel the world and the seven seas
Everybody's looking for something
Some of them want to use you
Some of them want to get used by you
Some of them want to abuse you
Some of them want to be abused
Sweet Dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree?
Travel the world and the seven seas
Everybody's looking for something
Some of them want to use you
Some of them want to get used by you
Some of them want to abuse you
Some of them want to be abused
I wanna use you and abuse you
I wanna know what's inside you
Sweet Dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree?
Travel the world and the seven seas
Everybody's looking for something
Some of them want to use you
Some of them want to get used by you
Some of them want to abuse you
Some of them want to be abused
I'm gonna use you and abuse you
I'm gonna know what's inside
Gonna use you and abuse you
I'm gonna know what's inside you
